Upper Michigan
A thoughtfully designed facility expanding access to specialized pediatric care.
The Emplify Health by Bellin (formerly Bellin Health) and Children’s Wisconsin joined to create a new Children & Adolescent Center in Ashwaubenon, WI. This new facility offers comprehensive, specialized pediatric care, including behavioral health, therapy, a sensory gym, and a life skills apartment, reducing the need for families to travel outside Northeast Wisconsin. It was a welcomed addition to the community.
There were many stages to the exterior spray foam on this project. All of the penetrations and window openings had to be sealed properly in step one. Step two was 3” of spray foam installed between 3” z girts, followed by 2 coats of fire resistant coating. After the coating was dry (the next day), it had to get sprayed with a coating to protect from UV rays. We had multiple guys on boom lifts making their way around the building in a continuous flow to get all of the spray foam components installed in the correct order. It took a lot of coordinating from our spray foam foreman to make sure no other trades were in the way at the same time and our guys were consistently achieving their goals of work to be completed every day so the next person could take over that area the next day for the next step.
